What could this orange blob be hovering above the ocean near St. Augustine, FL? Is it a bird, a plane, or … something else? CryptoVille investigates!
This photo, posted by Amy Nicole Hammack on the Facebook page, I Love St. Augustine, FL, was taken yesterday. The color is certainly bright considering the somber, overcast sky. Many rushed to the conclusion that it was clearly a UFO.
Here’s another view of it from Trace Vee also on the same Facebook page. I have to say, it took me by surprise and I couldn’t imagine what it was.
But then, an astute observer pointed out that it was the sun just coming over the horizon early in the morning. This is further confirmed by the lack of traffic seen moving on the roads below in Amy’s photo.
St. Augustine is super jammed this time of year with tourists plus all the usual business and resident’s traffic – you can hardly move. So, this has to be early. The clouds hid the rest of the sun, just leaving us a glimpse of it on the horizon.
Mystery solved! But it just goes to show how easily we can be fooled by what we see in the sky. While I do fear that there may be some alien activity on and around our planet, this instance belongs only to Mother Nature!

I had a weird experience myself that a ship looked weird and broken on the horizon, but when i saw the weather forecast that day the mistery became cleared. Its simply a mirage caused by a very cold front between the object ( a large ship) and the observer. Nature is very capable to fool is often :).
But i also have seen some video’s made by our airforce flir devices which are insane. The only thing we can say is that these Unknown Flying Objects keeps baffling us. Do i instant think about aliens …. not really since we already have seen that both usa and russians have made flying devices which baffled us many years later.
Both have made much more than they will show us for the next 50 years and if the knowledge does not leak or one drops down by accident or through enemy rockets they sure as hell not gonna tell us what it was for a very long time.
Hi Ruud! Yes, it’s true – nature can play lots of tricks on us and our perception of things.
I know what you mean about the military keeping their next generation of stealth crafts out of the way and hidden from us. Still, I can’t help but wonder about a few UFO/alien sightings that just seem to defy explanation. I’m thinking of the Rendlesham Forest case, the Shag Harbor incident, what happened to Travis Walton, and a few more like those. I fear there may be some kind of alien activity around our planet, but I hope I’m wrong.
