Bigfoot Corpse Finally Found?

A friend shared a report with me that said a Bigfoot body was just found on the shore of Pinecrest Lake in California. Is this the real deal? Or another hoax? CryptoVille investigates!

Pinecrest Lake is a beautiful, remote lake located in the Stanislaus National Forest, about half way between Sacramento and the Nevada border. From the area photos I’ve seen, this looks like a definite Bigfoot habitat. It’s lush with thick forests, a great water source, and not too many people around.

So, did someone finally find a body of a dead Bigfoot on its shoreline? The “report” comes to us from the breakingnews365.net website and all they show is the picture with a short blurb, see below:

This is the text that accompanied the photo:

“PINECREST CA: Here’s proof of the body of the elusive Sasquatch recently found at Pinecrest Lake by a hiker and his wife, who are from nearby Twainhart and have heard of the many reports of the Bigfoot in the Pinecrest Lake area. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, had heard a recent recording made by Ron Moorehead, a Bigfoot Investigator at California Research Organization on the Facebook Page “The Bigfoot Field Reporter”. That recording is said to have been made in April of 2017. He did state to this reporter that the creature had a compound fracture of its right leg and cause of death may have been due to infection. We must also report that the remains were removed under tight security by the military to an undisclosed location.”

I checked out the Facebook page and was unable to find the recording, but that really doesn’t have any bearing on whether a real bigfoot body was found or not.  As I said, this looks like prime Bigfoot territory, no question about that.

Red Flags

The first red flag is the fact that there isn’t a news report supporting this claim. Something as momentous as finding a Bigfoot body would require getting a news team to cover it as proof that it happened.

Secondly, the big feet look like flippers to me rather than humanoid or ape-like feet.

Third, I see no one around, why didn’t they pull the plastic wrap back and take a photo of the supposed Bigfoot? And where did that plastic come from?

Fourth, they say the military came and took all evidence away which is part of the canon of Bigfoot lure. We’ve heard this quite a few times in other Bigfoot sighting reports, but always other people see and comment on the military activity. There is no evidence of military activity in this shot.

Finally, at the bottom of the page showing this article, I see a “Create a joke” link.

Bottom Line

I’m confident this is just another hoax and a waste of our time. Shame on them!

So, what do you think about this supposed Bigfoot corpse?

  1. All of your red flags were warranted. And who would take a picture of a body as proof and not uncover it?
How convenient “the military took it away”.

  2. It’s a Stella (another hoax)… I am forever amazed at how little effort is put into the hoaxes!.

    • Hoaxers make me crazy! I’d like to have photos of them so I could start a cryptid hall of shame!

  3. Without pics it can’t be real… And as always the Military took it away. You would think it was top secret .May be it is ??????

    • Hi Leo! Yes, we need good, legitimate photographic evidence that can be analyzed by 3rd parties for any signs of tampering. Plus great DNA evidence. Oh well, hopefully one day we’ll get it!

    • Hi Elaine! I tried to corroborate your claim that the body is that of a young woman, but didn’t find any news stories about it anywhere. When I look at the feet, they look like flippers or something, not Bigfoot feet and certainly not human feet.

I’m going to keep a look-out for any news about this being a young woman and will post what I find.

  4. It says at the bottom of the website “This website is an entertainment website, news are created by users. These are humourous news, fantasy, fictional, that should not be seriously taken or as a source of information.” I don’t think they thought you would believe it

    • Hi CG! Yes, stupid sites like that make me angry. That’s why I wanted people to see how fake they are because there are people who will look at it quickly and think it’s true. They are nothing but hoaxers.

  5. First of all, this isn’t a remote area. Pinecrest is known to have people there… I live 2 hours away. There is thick forest surroundings. Stanislaus and Yosemite are connected. They’ve been sightings…

  6. Not saying that I believe this one. But the government will come in and cover it up they think we are stupid people and all of our sightings are bears and other things but they r real but I do love ur site keep up the good work we will find a body someday soon

    • Thank you for the kind words Joseph! Yes, the alleged involvement by the government is a troubling aspect to this entire Bigfoot situation. Hopefully time will tell – soon!
