How Did That Happen
Scientists believe it’s a random genetic mutation. An apple farmer, Ken Morrish, found it in his orchard. He’s grown apples for over 45 years and this is the first one he’s ever seen.
Tasters said the red side is sweeter than the green side. The theory is the red side got more sunlight during its growth so it developed more fully.
All agreed this is an extremely rare and intriguing discovery! To say the least!
